About Fort Myers Tree Service Pros
Fort Myers Tree Service Pros removes, trims and grinds out trees and palms for homeowners in Fort Myers and the surrounding parts of Lee County, from the older streets off McGregor Boulevard to newer subdivisions east of I-75.
We start by walking the property with you. Southwest Florida yards are a mix of hardwoods and palms, and they fail in different ways. On a live oak or laurel oak we look at the crown, the branch unions, any cavities or mushrooms near the base, and how far limbs reach over the roof or pool cage. On palms we look at the canopy shape, the spear leaf, the lower trunk for the shelf-like conks of Ganoderma butt rot, and the discolored fronds or dropped fruit that can mean lethal bronzing, which UF/IFAS has confirmed in Lee County. We also note the things that decide how the work gets done: the screen enclosure, the seawall or canal edge, irrigation heads, overhead service lines and whether a truck can reach the tree at all.
We also sort out the rules before quoting. Florida law (section 163.045) limits when a local government can require a permit to trim or remove a tree on a single-family lot if a certified arborist or licensed landscape architect has documented that it poses an unacceptable risk. Healthy trees, commercial lots and new development can still fall under city or county landscape codes, and mangroves along canals are regulated separately by the state. If your address or tree looks like it needs a permit or a professional mangrove trimmer, we say so up front. Anything touching a power line goes to FPL or LCEC first, depending on who serves your street.
After the walk-through you get a written quote. Each tree or palm gets its own line: what we will do, how the debris will be handled, whether the stump is included, and the price. Work starts only after you approve it, and if something changes once we are up in the canopy, we stop and agree on it with you before going further.
How we work
- Palms trimmed to UF/IFAS guidance: dead fronds and seed stalks off, green fronds left on.
- Hardwoods pruned to ANSI A300 standards, never topped or hat-racked.
- Heavy limbs lowered on ropes over roofs, lanais and pool cages.
- Fronds, brush and logs chipped, stacked or hauled away, as written on the quote.
- Storm calls sorted by danger: trees on homes and blocked driveways first.
- You pay only for the work you signed off on.
